In a category where everyone is selling little websites, we wanted GoDaddy to sell something much bigger: audience. And what better spokesperson to pitch “audience” than the authority on all things online?

In the days and weeks leading up to the Super Bowl we rolled out a series of teaser commercials, pre-roll video, and social content. Each piece giving a little more glimpse of this weird character’s world, without ever revealing his full identity.

 
 

Note: Al Gore was very keen to play Internet’s dad, but his schedule of saving the world from climate change didn’t allow for it.
