How I Became a Director

When you randomly have a client that hails from your bustling hometown of Waco, Texas, there's an instant level of trust and connection. When that client also doesn't have huge budgets for their TV spots, you can lean on that trust to follow your dreams of directing. For Neighborly, a service-based franchise company that operates a fleet of 25 home service brands like Mr. Rooter Plumbing, Aire Serv and Molly Maids, that's exactly what I did, working on the following campaigns from initial strategy and conception to directing and finishing.

First, Mr. Rooter Plumbing came to us with a desire to tell people just how expert their experts really are. So, we launched the first in a series of films to give customers a peek into some of that rigorous, hairy training.

Next, Glass Doctor wanted to tell the world just how superior their shower enclosures compared to a whole array of bathroom fixtures. And from that comes the tale of a spurned sink who hasn’t exactly warmed up to its new neighbor.
