As a 30-something, you don't really get too excited when you're asked to work on a new annuity product – in fact, the first thing you do is Google, "annuity what is it?" And when you find out, well, you're still scratching your head. But then sometimes an innovation in the space comes along. Middle-men are kicked out, rates are lifted and for a volatile market, an annuity suddenly doesn't seem like such a bad idea.

So how do you communicate that to a 21st century audience? Perhaps by highlighting some of the least sound investments made by some of the past’s brightest minds.
