Sony Rocket Project
Today's Sony VAIO laptop has more computing power than the first rocket to reach the moon. So we asked ourselves, would it be possible to launch a rocket using some really smart kids and a Sony VAIO?
Sure, it was a crazy idea, but the kind of crazy you want to watch go down – or ideally up, in our case. So, we set about documenting the process.
Once we started cutting together the dailies, we realized there might be more to this story than a handful of shorts. So we packaged it up and pitched it to a few networks. Six months later, what started as a web series became a primetime docu-special highlighting the power of Sony VAIO on The Science Channel.
